The Program Logistics / IT Trainer / Driver is responsible for coordinating and managing the logistical aspects of training programs, ensuring that all materials and resources are prepared and available for effective delivery. This role involves training participants on IT systems and tools, providing hands-on support, and addressing any technical issues that may arise during the training sessions.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
1. Coordinate and manage logistics for training programs, including scheduling sessions, securing training venues, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.
2. Develop and maintain an inventory of IT resources and tools used in training programs.
3. Collaborate with program managers to assess training needs and provide input on curriculum development.
4. Deliver engaging training sessions on various IT topics, including software applications, digital literacy, and job search tools.
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
6. Provide support and troubleshooting for participants regarding IT-related issues during training.
7. Maintain accurate records of training attendance, participant feedback, and program outcomes.
8. Assist in the development of training manuals, guides, and online resources for participants.
9. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participant engagement and growth.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
1. Assists with case record reviews.
2. As needed, substitutes for absent Job Coaches and provides coaching to Members.
3. Attends all scheduled meetings and trainings.
4. Support the Agency’s mission and partners with others to accomplish the mission.
5. Maintains the highest professional and ethical standards at all times.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability requires. Knowledge of the needs of persons with developmental disabilities and the ability to relate effectively with persons with disabilities and employers.
The individual must have a reliable vehicle, proof of insurance, a valid California Driver License, and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
The individual must demonstrate basic writing and computer skills, such as recording daily notes and using email. Must have the ability to learn and become proficient in use of digital applications including but not limited to timekeeping and scheduling software, Member Database, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, other approved applications utilized by New Horizons.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : College level course work in rehabilitation, human service or related field is preferred. Direct experience working in a supported employment program is required. At least two years direct experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is required.
