New-Indy Containerboard seeks an Environmental Compliance Officer to ensure safe and efficient operation of the wastewater department. This position requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local regulations and the ability to implement and maintain systems related to water, waste materials, and contaminated items.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain a QA/QC program pertaining to wastewater laboratory samples and their analysis.
- Update and develop SOPs within the department.
- Analyze data associated with the wastewater treatment plant by conducting microscopic evaluation of wastewater.
- Maintain all files that are required by regulators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental management, chemistry, or a science-related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of environmental compliance experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and environmental regulations.
- Working knowledge of wastewater treatment chemistry.
- Ability to obtain a Wastewater Class C Operator license.
