JOB SUMMARY :
New Jersey City University is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills to join its Title V Grant team. NJCU was recently awarded $3 million to conduct a series of initiatives that are intended to increase the enrollment, retention and graduation rate of Latino and low-income graduate students over a 5-year period. The successful candidate will be motivated to work with diverse faculty, staff and professionals in bringing about these improvements.
Reporting to the Director of Research, Grants & Sponsored Programs, the Project Administrator is responsible for various grant-management activities, including Coordination of activities among internal and external project participants; budgeting and requisitions; preparing reports, letters and outreach materials; and monitoring compliance with federal, state, and university regulations. Schedule flexibility and some travels are required. The position will be filled as soon as possible and extend through September 2029, contingent on available funding.
DUTIES :
- Coordinate grant-funded activities in cooperation with university faculty and staff
- Support project personnel with communication, record keeping, reporting andrequisitioning
- Facilitate the recruitment, onboarding and payment of project faculty, staff and student workers
- Monitor, review and verify budgets and financial reports
- Collect and manage project-related data and outcomes
- Prepare clear and accurate interim, annual and final performance reports containing key findings, outcomes and conclusions
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and institutional regulations while remaining aligned with the University’s mission
- Additional grant-related work, as required
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, statistics, administration or a related field
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of one (1) year experience working with diverse populations of under-prepared, urbanstudentsin highereducation
