SALARY : The salary range for this position is $88,625.12 to $142,404.72. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band / level, whichever is greater.
Travel Requirements : Travel to the six campus sites within Cumberland / Gloucester / Salem Vicinage and other Judiciary locations is required. This position may be reassigned to another county within the vicinage.
On-Site Work : Every applicant should be aware that if selected for this position, you must be prepared to work on-site in Salem County (Salem, NJ 08079), Cumberland County (Bridgeton, NJ 08302), and Gloucester County (Woodbury & Deptford, NJ 08096).
REMOTE WORK : The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2b (Information Technology Division Manager), this self-directed and results-oriented individual will oversee and support the Vicinage's Information Technology needs, working closely with the Information Technology Division Manager. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to : assisting with staff performance assessments; training, coaching, developing and mentoring staff; recommending disciplinary and / or employee recognition actions.
Duties related to technology include, but are not limited to : planning, organizing and managing the work of information technology staff, projects, and responsibilities; identifying business needs and developing recommendations and solutions; analyzing and assessing operational needs and making appropriate recommendations to the Division Manager; ensuring timely management of Helpdesk requests; understanding highly complex information technology systems; functioning as a subject matter expert for the vicinage; serving on both local and statewide committees.
The individual should be committed to providing quality service and be highly motivated; possess strong program and relationship management abilities; possess leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as effective written / oral communication, and presentation skills. The individual will have the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality service coupled with the ability to adapt to changing priorities are paramount.
Knowledge of various computer applications including, but not limited to Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Group Policy Management, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft O365, and Microsoft SharePoint is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in reviewing, prioritizing, and assessing information technology initiatives, projects, and staff; developing, implementing, and supporting complex systems, database, network, and applications environments; aligning technology strategies with business objectives; optimizing use of Information Technology resources including developing budgets and controlling costs; and / or defining applications development methodologies.
Substitution : Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree. A master's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above -OR- a law degree from an approved American Bar Association law school may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above.
Driver's License : Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
Authorization to Work : US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
Special Note : Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
Residency Law : In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52 : 14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary within one year must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
