DEFENITION: Under direction, is responsible for one or more major units of laundry work, or takes the lead over a small group of employees, patients, or inmates engaged in sorting, checking, ironing, pressing, or operating laundry equipment, or takes the lead over a small group of employees, patients, or inmates in sorting and checking clean clothing and linen in and/or out of linen rooms; does other related duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in the various processes of a large scale institutional or commercial laundry or linen room.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
