Position Description:
Our Finance Division Student Intern Rotation Program offers a unique opportunity for talented and motivated students to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of NJIT's finance operations. Through a rotation program, interns will gain valuable insights into business processes, treasury management, risk management, and general accounting.
During your rotation, you will have the opportunity to: Business Processes: Assist in streamlining and optimizing financial processes. Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Support the development and implementation of new financial systems and tools. Treasury Management: Gain exposure to cash management, forecasting, and investment strategies. Assist in managing liquidity and optimizing working capital. Analyze financial markets and economic trends to identify potential risks and opportunities. Risk Management: Learn about risk identification, assessment, and mitigation techniques. Support the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures. Assist in monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators. General Accounting: Gain experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and analysis. Assist in preparing financial statements and other financial reports. Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
