Position Overview :
As an Activity Director at New Lebanon , you will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing activity programs that promote social engagement, physical well-being, and cognitive stimulation for our residents. You will work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure a vibrant and enriching environment that supports the overall quality of life of those in our care.
What You’ll Do :
- Develop Engaging Programs : Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of recreational activities that cater to residents’ interests, abilities, and needs.
- Lead Activities : Facilitate group and one-on-one activities, ensuring participation and enjoyment for all residents.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team : Work with nursing, therapy, and dietary staff to integrate activities that support residents' physical and mental well-being.
- Assess Resident Needs : Evaluate residents' preferences and abilities to create personalized and inclusive activity programs.
- Enhance Social Interaction : Foster a sense of community by promoting social engagement and meaningful relationships among residents.
- Coordinate Volunteers & Entertainment : Organize visits from community groups, entertainers, and volunteers to enrich the activity schedule.
- Maintain Compliance : Ensure that all activities meet regulatory requirements and support the mission of our facility.
