Title: Web Marketing Manager
As our Web Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the digital presence of SantaBarbaraCA.com, the official destination website for The American Riviera®. This role focuses on optimizing web content, functionality, and user experience to captivate visitors and convert interest into action.
Acting as the primary liaison with our CRM provider and website agency of record, the Web Marketing Manager ensures a seamless, engaging, and visually compelling online experience. From managing the event calendar and special offers to curating business microsites, this role brings Santa Barbara to life online, all while maintaining brand integrity and meeting accessibility standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary administrator for SantaBarbaraCA.com, ensuring an accurate, accessible, and engaging user experience across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Manage the website agency of record to ensure timely project execution, performance enhancements, and UX improvements aligned with strategic goals.
- Lead UX audits and collaborate with developers and designers to improve site navigation, mobile responsiveness, and page load speed.
- Oversee CRM and third-party integrations (e.g., Bound 360, BookDirect.net), ensuring personalized content delivery and seamless partner microsite functionality
- Maintain and curate a high-quality calendar of events, reviewing partner submissions and conducting regular content audits in collaboration with the Content Manager.
- Implement and uphold accessibility best practices (WCAG standards), ensuring inclusive and compliant digital content.
- Support promotional campaigns by creating and optimizing landing pages, business listings, and special offers that drive conversions and overnight visitation.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, web design, digital media, or a related field preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in digital marketing, UX/UI, website management, or CRM administration.
- Strong knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) and user experience (UX) best practices.
- Experience working with CRM databases, including data organization, API integrations, and analytics.
- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, including creating custom reports, interpreting data and making actional recommendations based on web performance metrics.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Valid California Driver’s License, auto insurance, and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.

- Experience with UX/UI optimizations, accessibility compliance (WCAG standards), and A/B testing.
- Basic proficiency in HTML/CSS for minor website updates.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
