What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Shelter Case Manager position at New Life Center?
New Life Center is seeking an organized and passionate individual interested in joining the Residential team working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking as a Case Manager.
Job Summary:
Provide case management services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault living in New Life Center's emergency shelter. Oversee individual needs assessments, client-driven action plans, safety planning, and direct service delivery to be completed by Family Advocates. Ensure individuals are moving toward self-sufficiency and healing from trauma.
Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday

What You Will Do:
- Provide one on one support, advocacy, and crisis intervention using the Trauma Informed Care program model.
- Make arrangements to meet with new participants, as assigned, to create a case plan within 72 hours of the new participant's arrival.
- Complete an initial needs assessment with participants.
- Develop comprehensive client-driven action plan with both short-term and long-term goals.
- Complete a timeline and measure for each goal.
- Monitor progress towards the goals in regularly scheduled meeting with participants.
- Refer participants to appropriate resources to assist with meeting goals.
- Direct and collaborate with Family Advocates in completing participant's case plans.
- Completes intake interviews and safety plans for new participants.
- Prepare program reports as needed.
- Transport participants in agency vehicle as needed, ensuring participant safety.
- Document and report all emergencies, participant concerns, and organizational needs to the Residential Services Manager.
Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in social work, women and gender studies, social justice, counseling, or related field, and 1 or more years' experience within a human trafficking, domestic violence and/or sexual violence program/agency.
- One (1) or more years of experience in case management.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and insurance.
- Currently possess, or ability to successfully obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance**
- FBI National Fingerprint Check Clearance
- CPR/1st Aid Certified. **
- Negative TB test required. **
