Job Description
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for accurately recording financial transactions,
maintaining detailed records, and generating reports by performing data entry into
accounting software, ensuring compliance with company financial policies, and
providing administrative support to the accounting team.

- Count the weekly services offering and deposit in the bank in a timely manner
- Post the checks and cash deposits in Pushpay
- Maintain spreadsheets as requested by the Controller
- Input and code all contribution entries in Blackbaud
- Input and code all miscellaneous entries in Blackbaud
- Process online batches for income in Blackbaud daily
- Enter pledges and create reports as necessary
- Process and reconcile all cash advances within 1 month of issuance
- Prepare invoices and send reminders as necessary
- Recruit and maintain a volunteer counting team
- Assist the congregation and answer questions in processing donations
- Enter and pay bills on time
- Collect W-9’s and EFT forms and enter new vendors into Blackbaud
- Resolve all purchase order, contract, invoice or payment discrepancies beforepayment
- Verify the accuracy of approved requests for all invoices
- Enter invoices for utilities and benefit payments
- Respond to any inquiries from the staff or congregation
- Inform the bank of all generated check through the fraud prevention software
- Assist the credit card processing including monthly reconciliation, directcommunication with card holders, and timely payment of statement
- File all accounting paperwork in its proper place
- Assist accounting department in any way requested 22. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active member of a local church
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Associate degree in accounting or business administration
- Excellent math skills, proficiency with accounting software, high level ofaccuracy, attention to detail
- Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Strong data entry skills
- Good communication skills
- Preferred: Knowledge of Blackbaud accounting software

Pay: $48,500.00 per year
