The Associate Wors The Associate Worship Pastor is an essential role for the ministry of New Life Church. The Associate Worship Pastors role is to support the Worship Pastor and the worship department and lead with excellence both musically and spiritually - including preparation, thought, and intention given to each weekend service and event.

• Be the primary support to the Worship Pastor. Able to represent the department and the vision of the leadership in any capacity.
• Assist in scheduling the Worship Leaders for all weekend services at North and Friday Night.
• Oversee multiple staff members as a supervisor.
• Oversee the management of the NLW operational budget.
• Provide pastoral care for all NLN volunteers as assigned.
• Provide day-to-day Budget oversight on behalf of the Worship Pastor, including approval of reimbursements, etc.
• Serve as music producer or mixing engineer as requested.
• Cooperate in offering consultation and input on worship equipment purchases as needed.
• Actively serve as a worship musician in weekend services as well as NLW.
• Oversee maintenance of the Planning Center Database.
• Oversee the worship tracks database on Dropbox.
• Committed to making NLN their local church community.
• Be willing to serve another congregation other than their primary congregation for support, teaching, training, and worship team evaluation as needed.
• Become familiar with CCB, Planning Center, Slack, and other New Life apps.
• Participate in serving at the New Life Conference, Good Friday service, Christmas Eve services, and other key events.
• Work in close association with the entire New Life Church staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church.
• Attend all required Worship Department meetings.
• Participate in any NLW staff retreats, and staff events.
• Participate in New Life Worship events and recordings as requested.
• Serve as Pastor on Call and Pastor on Site, as well as conducting pastoral visitations
• Actively participate in service responsibilities, altar and First Wednesday gatherings
• Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
• Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
• Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
• Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
• Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
• Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

• Proven strong gifts/anointing in leader other worship staff and being a support to a worship pastor.
• Proven gifting in overseeing other employees and creating a place for them to thrive.
• Strong musician in at least on instrument. Competent in multiple instruments.
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks and to complete projects with little guidance.
• Skilled at developing life-giving rapport with paid staff, team members and guests.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Theology, Leadership, Worship Ministry, Spiritual Formation, or related fields.

MDiv preferred.

Experience: 5 years of experience as a worship pastor and/or leader

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
