Job Summary |
To serve New Life Church North campus by leading the Hospitality Events Team in providing excellence in all campus events through supervising and working with the NLC Support Staff.
Duties and Responsibilities |
- Lead designated Hospitality Team to accomplish the following tasks:
- Maintain cleanliness of NLC North campus.
- Perform set-up and tear-down of classrooms, meeting rooms and conference areas for seminars, weddings and events as needed. This may include but is not limited to: 5’ and 8’ tables, folding chairs, stackable chairs, easels, podiums and round tables.
- Move office furniture and assist with installing new equipment, as needed.
- Stock cleaning supplies, when received.
- Open and close building according to reservations requests and campus calendar ensuring that the lights, heating and/ or air conditioning are turned on or off at appropriate times.
- Provide building and grounds security by ensuring that all appropriate doors/buildings are locked, lights are turned off and alarms are set.
- Respond to fire or security alarms at any time.
- Perform snow removal by operating all necessary equipment.
- Assist with traffic control in parking lot as requested.
- General errands as requested.
- Meet with incoming or outgoing Team Leader to exchange current information.
- Report damage or maintenance needs to the proper Hospitality representative, so that all such issues are handled in an appropriate manner and time-frame.
- Maintain team safety.
- Assign tasks to Team.
- Hold daily team meetings for devotions, information, updates and training.
- Hold 1 on 1 Leadr meetings with applicable staff on a weekly to bi weekly basis.
- Work alongside team members while accomplishing daily workload and tasks.
- Maintain active presence with team members throughout each shift.
- Walk through building regularly, thoroughly checking for potential projects or issues and assigning as appropriate.
- Learn continuously from leadership to maintain a high level of service.
- Build healthy relationships with fellow employees and develop effective team unity.
- Must be flexible and available to serve on holidays, Sundays and special events.
- Be a healthy example of NLC values.
- Advance the Kingdom of God by representing Christ at all times in thought, action and speech.
- Demonstrate ongoing financial support of the ministries of New Life Church.
- Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings as required.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church.
- Cooperate with the Hospitality Director by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
NOTE: Job duties may be performed in an office environment, classroom, large multi-purpose room, kitchen, storage room or outdoors in any season. Use of ladders, carts, dollies and hand-trucks may be required.

Education and Experience |
Education: High School Diploma or sufficient comparable experience.
Experience: 2-3 years events set-up and tear down, general housekeeping , or related work experience
Working Conditions and Requirements for Hospitality |
Physical Demands:
- Moderate to considerable physical activity; requires handling of objects up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, climbing ladders, bending, and squatting, crawling in tight spaces, and use of protective equipment.
- Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Appropriate safety eyewear, earplugs, safety vests, fall protection belts, hard hats, protective gloves, latex gloves, respiratory protection and back-support belts are available and should be worn by all Events and Housekeeping staff when engaged in activities requiring such safety gear.
