What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at New Life Counseling?
New Life Counseling is looking for someone to fill our Front Desk Receptionist position.
This full-time position will be 32-36 hours per week. The hours would be Mon: 12 pm - 8 pm, Tue: 12 pm - 7 pm, Wed: 9 am - 6 pm, Thur: 9 am - 5 pm, rotating Fri: 8 am -12 pm.

The position does require that to be successful you must be: extremely efficient at multi-tasking; have excellent organizational skills; be able to handle stress adequately ; have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have a good working knowledge of spreadsheet applications. It is also extremely important that you can prioritize tasks effectively, work independently with a low level of supervision, be self motivated and show initiative, and maintain a warm and friendly attitude amid chaos! We utilize an online practice management program in which we work with all of our client information, clinical notes, scheduling, payment processing, and billing.
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the following tasks: greeting all clients and others that enter the building, collecting co-pays, assisting with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, taking new client information, assisting with setting up new clients in our practice management software, making weekly deposits, proofreading and submission of clinical reports, management of texting system, assisting in schedule management for all clinical staff, acting as direct clinician contact for clinicians assigned, management of scanning tasks, opening and closing the office as needed and completing other administrative tasks as needed or assigned.
The ideal candidate must have a warm and friendly personality, be highly motivated, have excellent data entry and proofreading skills, exhibit excellent customer service skills both in person and over the phone, and have the ability to handle stressful situations with ease while maintaining a cheerful disposition. Experience in the mental health field or with insurance verification is preferred but not required.
Current or former clients of any clinician at New Life Counseling are not eligible to apply.
This will be a part-time position (32-36hours per week) and the hours for this position will be: Mondays: 12 - 8, Tuesday: 12-7, Wednesday: 9-6, Thursday: 9-5, and rotating Fridays from 8-12.
