New Life Home Care & Hospice Agency is recruiting for a full-time Billing Clerk to help with timely Agency's invoicing process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical billing and coding Certification
- Home Care billing experience
- Knowledge of state, federal, Medicare, and Joint Commission regulations related to billing.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written), documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Computer skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Assists in client invoicing and third-party claim submission.
a. Enters client data into system.
b. Verifies signed physician orders prior to claim submission.
c. Verifies services provided from employee time record and documentation.
d. Prepares claims for submission.
e. Submits claims either manually or electronically per Agency protocol.
f. Responds to client inquiries regarding accounts.
- Completes the accounts receivable billing and charge entry duties in a timely manner.
- Completes all reports for the management team and forwards in a timely manner.
- Maintains confidentiality of all client information.
- Performs job in compliance with Agency policies and procedures as well as community standards and applicable laws.
- Communicates necessary information to management staff to assure accuracy of data and coordination of Agency functions.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
