Role Title: Volunteer (NON-PAID)

Reports To: House Manager/Volunteer Coordinator

Summary: Become a Volunteer Recovery Coach with our team and make a profound impact on the lives of individuals in recovery. As a key member of our program, you'll provide essential support to women and children who have faced exploitation and trafficking, as well as men and women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Your contributions may include assisting with transportation, offering guidance to program participants, engaging in recovery program activities, leading educational classes or Bible studies, and participating in daily or weekend activities within our New Life New You Program. Together, we can help rebuild lives and inspire hope.

Required Duties and Responsibilities

 Support and Guidance

• Offer emotional and practical support to program participants, fostering a safe and encouraging environment.
• Serve as a mentor and role model, demonstrating positive behavior and accountability.

 Transportation Assistance

• Provide reliable transportation for participants to appointments, meetings, or program activities as needed.

 Program Engagement

• Actively participate in daily recovery program activities, helping facilitate a structured and supportive routine.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operation of program events and activities.

 Facilitation of Classes and Activities

• Lead or assist in educational workshops, skill-building sessions, or Bible studies.
• Encourage active participation from program members to foster growth and learning.

 Community Building

• Help cultivate a sense of community among participants through shared activities and meaningful interactions.
• Mediate conflicts and promote harmony within the group when necessary.

 Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate records of your involvement, including participant interactions and activity attendance.
• Communicate regularly with staff about participant progress and any concerns.

 Adherence to Program Policies

• Uphold the rules and values of the New Life New You Program.
• Ensure confidentiality and respect for all participants at all times.

 Flexibility and Commitment

• Be available to assist with daily or weekend program activities as scheduled.
• Adapt to changing needs within the program and contribute wherever support is needed.

Qualifications

• Must attend Volunteer Training
• Must clear background check
• Must have all training necessary for approved activity (varies on a case by case basis)

Other Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• Vision requirements include close vision, far-range vision, and the ability to focus
• Hearing requirements include the ability to hear a normal conversation in normal ranges and the ability to be in moderate to loud environments for extended periods of time
• Occasionally required to climb stairs, bend or stoop, kneel or crouch
