Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Director of IT to lead the technology strategy and operations for a dynamic broadband communications company. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, wireless broadband solutions, voice switching, and internal and external network management. The IT Director will oversee all aspects of the company's technology environment, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions that support operational and customer-facing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy aligned with business goals and emerging industry trends in broadband and wireless communications.
- Evaluate and implement innovative wireless broadband technologies to enhance service delivery and expand coverage areas.
- Lead the design and optimization of internal networks and IT systems to ensure efficiency and resilience.
- Oversee the integration and management of voice-switching systems, ensuring high-quality and reliable voice services.
IT Operations Management
- Direct the implementation, maintenance, and security of the company’s internal and external networks, including LAN/WAN and wireless broadband systems.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and cloud environments, to support business operations.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for all technology systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards, including cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems.
Team and Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and implementation of technology systems and tools.
Collaboration and Support

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in the broadband or telecommunications industry.
- Proven expertise in wireless broadband technologies, including fixed wireless solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing internal and external networks, IT infrastructure, and voice-switching systems.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, wireless technologies, and voice-over-IP (VoIP) systems.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
- Strong understanding of the broadband sector's IT governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
