This position is responsible in providing Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and refrigeration system services.
How does it get done?
Maintaining heating equipment (blowers, fans, gas valves, heat exchangers, venting systems, burners, blower motors, thermostats, air stats, carbon monoxide/gas leaks, etc.). Maintain/install/repair evaporative cooling and exhaust/ventilation systems to include Dietary and moisture-exhaust systems in the Laundry. Provide refrigerant recovery and service in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act.

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience in maintaining heating/cooling equipment;
Experience with air handling systems;
Experience with exhaust/ventilation systems;
Experience with refrigeration systems.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent and six (6) months experience in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration maintenance and/or installing and repairing refrigeration and heating systems. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, both indoors and outdoors. Some standing walking, stooping, bending and lifting a minimum of one hundred (1 OD) pounds with assistance may be required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/ E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Department is Plant Technology. Shift is 8:00 am to 5 pm.
