Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate collection of necessary information.
- Schedule appointments using medical scheduling systems.
- Handle medical collections and insurance verifications.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with health information management standards, utilizing ICD-9 coding when necessary.
- Assist with administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure timely follow-up on care plans.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical administrative support functions with experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred.
- Familiarity with optometry clinic operations is a plus.
