New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) is seeking candidates for a Term Faculty members in Exercise Science/Coaching who are committed to making a difference in the lives of college students at an historic New Mexico University.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be assigned to the main campus in Las Vegas, New Mexico, with the possibility of teaching online. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach lower and upper-level courses. Courses could include exercise physiology, kinesiology, stress testing, body composition, coaching ethics, sport psychology, or other departmental courses based on applicant’s educational and teaching background
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Applicants must have a terminal degree (doctorate in exercise science, or a closely-related area). ABD will be considered. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of course content; ability to organize course material and deliver course content that takes into account student needs; can provide corrective feedback; has sufficient time to prepare for class and grade assignments; and ability using teaching technology preferably Bright Space.
