About New Mexico Military Institute: The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, coeducational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student
body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited, preparing students for
higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8. The IPA delivers a distinctive
curriculum emphasizing immersive, intensive, hands-on learning in a structured environment.
Position: Under the supervision of the Global Enrollment and Marketing Director, the Global Enrollment Data Entry
Specialist maintains the high school and junior college applicant database and files. The main focus is to process
applications and update files for all new and break-in-service cadets, domestic and international, for potential enrollment
into the high school and junior college program at New Mexico Military Institute. This is a non-exempt, 12-months, fulltime position. The salary for this position is $31,200.00 ($15.00 per hour). The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
Performs clerical and office duties as assigned,
including answering the telephone, various office
duties, Open Houses, telephone calls or emails, and
greeting office visitors
Processes and maintains various reports, activities, and
files, including, but not limited to, all documents
(academic and medical) related to the potential
admission of an incoming or break-in-service cadet,
domestic and international
Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of computer hardware and software
Knowledge of the Institute’s mission, organization,
function, purpose, goals, and operations
Skill in developing and maintaining effective working
relationships within the department and with other
Institute departments
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of computer information
systems experience
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual
