About New Mexico Military Institute:The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) is a state-supported, co-educational institution offering college preparatory education at the high school and junior college levels. With a student body of up to 1,000 cadets, NMMI provides a comprehensive academic experience complemented by Junior and Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs. The high school curriculum is fully accredited, preparing students for higher education. The junior college program facilitates cadet transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Additionally, NMMI houses the Intermediate Preparatory Academy (IPA) for grades 6-8. The IPA delivers a distinctive curriculum that emphasizes immersive, intensive, and hands-on learning in a structured environment.
Position Under the supervision of the Global Enrollment and Marketing Director, the Global Enrollment Recruiter supports the overall recruiting and admissions function through a series of responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to, assisting the Enrollment Staff with appropriate tasks to help meet strategic enrollment objectives, promoting the Institute to prospective families, current cadets, faculty and staff, and representing the Institute to external constituents including members of the New Mexico Legislature. This is an exempt, 12-month, full-time position. The salary is $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually. The job description is available upon request.
Tasks:
· Primarily responsible for completing and evaluating applications for admission to the high school and college programs, including but not limited to making phone calls to students, parents, high schools, and colleges to obtain required documents and assisting applicants in completing the application process.
· Perform duties as per the Admissions Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), including interviews with prospective students.
· Acquire knowledge of the Institute’s mission, vision, and values and the recruiter’s role in achieving these goals.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
· Ability and willingness to learn appropriate skills and seek professional development.
· Ability and willingness to learn appropriate skills to implement, maintain, update, and utilize current and future computer technologies.
· Ability and willingness to learn appropriate skills and run standard and non-standard reports as directed by the Global Enrollment and Marketing Director.
· Knowledge of NMMI academic and extra-curricular activities.
· Ability to comply with the Global Enrollment office processes, procedures, and expectations.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· Must possess the willingness and ability to work an unconventional work schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
· Must be able to perform overnight travel and possess a valid driver’s license and a valid U.S. passport.
Preferred:
· Master’s degree.
· Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree requirement.
· Bilingual capability.
· Recruiting or Admissions experience at a college or boarding school.
