Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Provide general clerical support including answering phones, managing correspondence, and handling inquiries from students and staff.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Organize and maintain the adult education schedule, including classes, workshops, and events. Coordinate room bookings and resources needed for instructional sessions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, attendance, and assessments. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for students, instructors, and external partners. Disseminate information about programs, resources, and policies.
- Financial Management: Assist with budgeting and financial processes, including tracking expenditures and processing invoices related to the adult education program.
- Event Planning: Support the planning and execution of events, such as graduations, orientation sessions, and community outreach activities.
- Data Entry and Reporting: Input and maintain data in educational software systems. Generate reports as required for program evaluation and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and community organizations to enhance program delivery and student success.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in administrative support or secretarial roles, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of adult education principles and practices is a plus.
