New Milford Public Schools is looking for an Excellent Adult Education Guidance Counselor!
Position Overview: The Adult Education Guidance Counselor provides comprehensive support and guidance to adult learners in educational programs. This role involves assessing individual needs, creating personalized education plans, and facilitating access to resources that enhance learning outcomes.
This position requires a commitment of two nights per week, with compensation at a rate of $45 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Social Work, or a related field
- Experience: Previous experience in adult education, counseling, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to assess individual needs and develop tailored plans
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and resources
- Proficient in using educational technology and databases
