What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Counter Attendant position at New Morning Market?
What you’re great at:
- Sharing a working knowledge of unique freshly prepared products.
- Demonstrating the highest standard of safe food handling as defined by the Health Department.
- Anticipating customer needs and providing service in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Assisting customers with questions and product selection by suggestive selling.
A day in the life:
- Following established procedures, continuously stock and display foods in an attractive manner.
- Ensure that food items are rotated by date and all out of date items are removed from the case.
- Ensure counter and food storage areas are maintained in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards.
- Adhere to safe food handling procedures at the counter, walk in and waste management areas.
- Monitor and record case and food product temperatures to ensure safe food storage guidelines are met.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts.
