Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for working in partnership with the Director of Operations to plan and accomplish business objectives. Establishes standards for work-related policies and procedures, leading and managing departmental sub-function units of digital banking, Treasury Management Services, and international banking within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the units and develops budgets / policies / procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Provide guidance to various areas which may include check processing, deposit services, training, government reporting, vendor management, talent recruitment, legal processing, fraud mitigation, and special projects. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. This role focuses on designing, planning, and executing key departmental functions to ensure robust internal controls and meeting compliance requirements, efficient product and service delivery through multiple channels, and support for the organization’s strategic operational objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision to three (3) employees within the Operations department.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Duties included but not limited to) :
- Lead the development and enhancement of deposit-related products and services.
- Collaborate with the executive team, Director of Operations, and retail branch partners to execute the depository strategy.
- Partner with the Depository Operations Team to develop and bring to market products that meet the needs of both local communities and international clients.
- Monitor the performance and return on investment of existing products and services. Lead various projects, including product evaluation, vendor selection, as well as project management and implementation.
- Establish standards for policies and procedures related to digital banking and treasury management services.
- Develop and implement reporting structures to effectively communicate the value, risk, and trends associated with each product and service.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to create functional strategies, set specific objectives, and manage budget / policies / procedures to support the operational infrastructure of the department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
