Position Summary:
The Events and Program Coordinator will support the Marketing and Special Events department with all aspects of logistics, planning, and execution of special events.
What you will be doing:
Events
- Support Special Events Sr. Manager with planning, production and execution of various events hosted by the teams. This includes game day events, special promotions, fan experiences, and season ticket holder events.
- Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to gain alignment, timelines, and approvals on all elements of events such as promotional materials, signage, collateral, F&B, on-site activations, and player/legend appearances
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners to ensure event requirements are met and fulfilled
- Assist with maintaining accurate event estimates, negotiate costs, and secure the best deals for event element while executing within established budgets
- Serve as a point of contact for all stakeholders. Provide on-site event support, managing logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations during the event
- Assist in gathering feedback and event performance metrics from post event participant surveys, sponsors, and vendors to evaluate the event success
- Prepare event summaries, including outcomes, challenges, and suggestions for future events
Kids Club / Crib Club
- Support and implement Kids Clubs programs through multi-channel promotional strategies
- Assist in building plans and programs that offer fun, engaging and positive experiences for young fans and families while aligning with the team’s brand and mission
- Collaborate with merchandise partner and internal teams to coordinate the creation and fulfillment of membership materials such as welcome kits, team-branded merchandise, and exclusive content
- Maintain a database of club members to ensure program effectiveness and member satisfaction
- Work with partners, and vendors to enhance the kids’ club experience and provide exclusive benefits or discounts to members
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field of study
- 2 years of professional experience in sports, either with a team, brand or agency; preferred experiences in event planning and execution, brand strategy, corporate partnership activation/sales or premium service/sales
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for generating innovative event ideas
- Must be highly organized, with an ability to handle high volume of detail-oriented work
- Thrive in a fast-paced workplace where managing multiple projects is critical to success
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift/push/pull 30lbs on a regular basis
- Must be timely and have a flexible work schedule in order to effectively support special event responsibilities throughout the year: weekends, nights and holidays as dictated by events or requirements
