Position Summary
The Executive Director Specialist (EDS) oversees and is responsible for all operations, departments, and programs within an assigned community. The EDS is assigned to a community on a temporary/as needed basis, generally, but not limited to, when the executive director (ED) role is vacant. The EDS ensures that the Community is in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as well as the Company’s policies and procedures. The EDS ensures that the team members have everything they need to deliver excellent services and customer engagement every day. The EDS leads by example and champions the company’s mission, values, and foundational belief.
Responsibilities
- Will travel to any of our Assisted Livings in MN
- Lead team meetings including daily stand up, weekly department head meeting, and any other meetings
- Direct the effort to hire team members and makes all final hiring decisions for the Community
- Satisfy and monitor education regulatory requirements through the orientation, the learning management system, and other resources
- Ensure all team member onboarding complies with all federal, state, and company training requirements.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, supervise, and evaluate team members, as needed
- Spends adequate time each week recruiting and sourcing candidates for positions
- Oversee involuntary termination process
- Conduct retention activities
- Ensure all team members are fully engaged
- Recruit, train, and maintain a strong leadership team
- Ensure that Company policies and procedures are followed in each department and provide a course of action to be in compliance, if needed
- Comply with state and Company requirements for evaluations of team members, and coach or ensure direct reports coach team members to ensure performance expectations are met
- Communicate and collaborate with District Director of Operations to identify risk factors and address site deficiencies
- Ensures every department within the community is adequately staffed at all times, all shifts, twenty- four/seven/365 days a year
- Maintain budgetary requirements, such as overtime targets and food PRD
- Act as a sales leader for the Community and actively participate and/or lead weekly sales meetings
- Achieve EBITDAR, revenue and census goals by implementing the marketing plan
- Prepare and meet or exceed budgeted revenue targets and net operating income
- Strive towards 100% occupancy
- Ensure sales outcomes match monthly sales goals
- Facilitate collection efforts when needed
- Build relationships with leaders in the greater business and civic community
- Maintain positive working relationships with county and state representatives
- Obtain a 90% or greater overall QCR Quality Compliance Review
- Facilitate positive verbal communication with key family members every 60 days
- Respond to all family concerns within 48 hours
- Champion hospitality and deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, visitors, and vendors.
- Maintain a current documentation, follow-up and required reporting for compliant operations
Qualifications
- Three or more years of management experience; experience as an executive director in an assisted living or memory care setting strongly preferred
- LALD or LNHA license
- Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, or home health
- Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy for the challenges experienced by residents, families and team members and the problem- solving skill sets to support them
- Strong computer skills and ability to use a variety of electronic devices
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Current knowledge of regulatory requirements and assisted living and memory care best practices
Salary
$100K - $110K
