New Prague Area Community Education is seeking dedicated and passionate Childcare Classroom Leads to join our team for this summer! This role is great for an early childhood educator who enjoys working in a supportive and structured environment while helping young learners grow and develop. The Classroom Lead will be responsible for creating an engaging curriculum, safe and supportive classroom, and leading a team to ensure a high-quality experience for children.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Youth Programming Supervisor, the Child Care Lead is responsible for the general daily oversight of the program site; implementing daily program curriculum; assigning daily program tasks to the site paraprofessionals and other program staff or volunteers; and direct supervision of children or youth to ensure that a safe, fun and enriching program is carried out each day.
WORK REQUIREMENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Education/Certification/Licensure:
- AA or AS Preferred
- Completion of a combination of district training programs, experience, and coursework of an equivalent nature and level to perform the requirements of the work.
- CPI, CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to become certified within the first 90 days of employment.
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in youth programming preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience working with children ages 33 months to age 5.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- 1-3 years of experience writing an engaging curriculum that develops the whole child.
