Our Mission is to provide services to all individuals of all economic status cultural, gender, and diversity backgrounds. NPFS also has a location in Bend, Or that provides both outpatient and intensive integrated treatment for those needing housing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Desire to help others in a caring, professional manner
- Masters Degree in a social services field
- Familiar with evidenced based interventions
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

As a co-occurring program, NPFS supports NPFS staff to obtain dual certification/licensure if interested and provides supervision, training, and helps with certification/licensure fees. Licensed or working towards licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) counselors are encouraged to apply and duties might include opportunity to supervise mental health counselors for NPFS with wages or contract work available.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision of the Program Director, clinical supervisor, the mental health counselor assumes responsibility for providing mental health services for individuals and their families. Counselors will assess the individual to identify the needs of the client in order to provide support, services and housing if needed. Counselors will work with community partners, plan, utilize case management and coordination of resources for their clients and their families.
Counselor will develop a treatment plan that is based on the individual client and that provides a treatment setting in order to develop coping skills, communication skills, and decision making skills, allowing individuals and their families to grow and develop into healthy, happy, successful and contributing members of their community. This might also include housing, acquiring jobs/education.
The Bend location includes, working with clients living in housing, working on living substance free and co occurring mental health issues. Some clients have been incarcerated. Experience or knowledge in Substance Abuse is needed, training is available. Opportunity for advancement to lead counselor/supervisor.
