As a Construction Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for controlling project costs, analyzing financial data, and communicating trends to project managers. You will work closely with project coordinators to collect and review data, providing insights that inform project decisions.
This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as proficiency in MS Office and experience with project management software. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within tight deadlines. A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred, along with 3-5 years of professional experience in construction or project controls.
Responsibilities include building project schedules, executing customer billing projections, analyzing project financial data, and providing weekly cost reports to project management and field supervision. You will also participate in project conference calls, validate and approve project invoicing, and submit and record Affidavit of Completions. Additional duties include completing project reconciliation, preparing monthly reporting of key performance indicators, and ensuring accurate and final account receivables.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including internal staff and external professionals, are essential. Strong decision-making capability and high levels of discretion and judgment in both interpersonal and business matters are required.
