Job Description
New River Valley Community Services is searching for an Intensive Licensed Practical Nurse at New Horizons and the Crisis Receiving Center! Within this intensive LPN role, the LPN would manage psychiatric nursing services and medication services for crisis stabilization program clients. The LPN would assist clients in obtaining medication requests through state pharmacies or other programs and monitor clients' responses to prescribed medications. The LPN would also ensure that psychiatrists and/or nurse practitioners have accurate information regarding client responses and difficulties related to prescribed medications. It is also crucial for the LPN to instruct other program staf on the use of psychotropic medication with mentally ill and co-occurring mental health/substance use populations.

Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Must have a valid Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse License
- QMHP, QSAP and QIDP eligibility or status preferred
