The Club at New Seabury in Mashpee is looking for a Seasonal Banquet Chef. Our season runs from May - October.
Position Overview
The Banquet Chef is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of banquet events, ensuring that high-quality meals are prepared and served efficiently. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests at various events.
Essential Duties & responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and planning menus for banquet events, considering client preferences and dietary requirements.
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage the inventory of food supplies and kitchen supplies related to events.
- Ensure the kitchen area meets the health and safety standard expectations.
- Manage the coordination of the events from the back of the house with the Catering Department.
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safety standards, and proper kitchen procedures.
- Participate in the hiring process for kitchen staff, including interviewing and selecting candidates.
- Follow proper disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring staff adhere to company policies and standards.
- Participate in the Performance Review process.
- Proven A-Player Manager works well under pressure, is organized, flexible, self-motivated and is willing to work non-traditional hours.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Company at its discretion from time to time.

Credentials And Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in culinary or proven five years of experience as a Banquet Chef or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
