Supply Planning Supervisor, Food Manufacturing

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Supply Planning Leader to lead and optimize our material forecasting and purchasing processes.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning supply chain operations with our production plans, ensuring seamless execution and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as purchasing, scheduling, warehouse, and inventory is essential to drive exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine supply parameters for materials used in production.
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance material availability.
- Address and resolve supply issues efficiently in partnership with the purchasing team.
- Champion supply chain objectives to achieve outstanding performance metrics.
- Support and evolve the S&OP process, contributing to its strategic development.
- Create business cases for SKU rationalization and assess production capacity requirements.
- Provide analytical insights on production constraints, bottlenecks, and propose actionable solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in supply planning and forecasting, guiding and educating others on system use.
- Foster strong connections between operations and sales teams to strategize future business directions, including package sizes and order types.
- Minimize excess and obsolete inventory while preventing stockouts and supply chain disruptions.
- Maximize the utility of supply chain tools and act as an SME for demand planning systems.
- Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives.
Required Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Food Manufacturing industry experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or a similar area.
- Strong skills in teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication.
- Proficiency in learning and teaching software systems capabilities.
- Experience in supply planning, constraint modeling, and procurement processes.
- Expertise in demand planning and forecasting using ERP software systems.
- Proven project management skills and a track record of process improvement.
- Leadership experience in S&OP and demonstrated success in delivering results.
- Experience in supply chain or plant operations is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
