Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work, dementia care, memory care, long-term care, working with people with developmental disabilities, assisted living, senior care, behavior management, and direct support.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
- Strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Physical ability to lift and move clients as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
