We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing their physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are adhered to.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring patients safely when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Document patient progress and any significant observations accurately in care logs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and hospice care protocols is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist them with mobility as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or similar qualification is a plus but not required.
