Join our thriving Obesity Medicine practice as our Clinical Supervisor, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming patient outcomes and driving the success of a growing and innovative healthcare practice.
New Start Medical is privately-owned medical practice providing weight management programs to patients 12 years and older, developed to meet the specific needs of each patient. In addition, we manage related comorbidities such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, fatty liver disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and metabolic syndrome and provide preventative medical care. Our program follows the Obesity Medicine Association guidelines and has been designed to provide safe and healthy weight loss in a medically supervised setting
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll combine your clinical expertise with your leadership capabilities to train and manage Medical Assistants (MAs), ensure seamless practice operations, and implement the highest standards of quality and safety.
This full-time, 4-day-per-week role is ideal for an experienced LPN or CMA who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to grow alongside a flourishing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Training:
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of 3-4 Medical Assistants to maintain excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and evaluate MA performance, providing ongoing feedback and professional development opportunities.
- Quality Assurance & Safety Protocols:
- Develop and implement robust safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee and verify the quality of work performed by MAs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Operational Management:
- Coordinate and complete prior authorizations to ensure timely patient access to care.
- Manage medical records, ensuring accurate documentation, timely signatures, and proper organization.
- Perform quality control audits to maintain excellence in medical recordkeeping and compliance.
- Review and optimize the practice schedule to ensure efficient patient flow and resource utilization.
Growth & Development:
- Collaborate with practice leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the growth of the practice.
- Play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted LPN license or MA certification.
- Proven experience in managing/supervising and training healthcare teams, preferably in an outpatient medicine setting.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes, medical record management, and schedule optimization.
- Passion for patient care and a desire to grow with an innovative, patient-focused practice.
