New Start Supportive Living Services is assisting an individual looking for IHSS staff. This position(s) works directly for the client and IHSS El Dorado County. All IHSS support staff is hired for a specific set schedule. Opportunity to pick up additional hours on call.
IHSS Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate caregiving services to clients in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. May include intimate personal care assistance.
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for clients with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in electronic medical record systems.
- Some of the individuals we support use electric or manual wheelchairs, and receive assistance with adaptive equipment for transfer.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
IHSS staff must be certified through IHSS El Dorado County or be willing to become certified as part of the hiring process. Pay for IHSS shifts determined by IHSS El Dorado County ($17 per hour starting January 2025). Additional resources attached below
