New Start Supportive Living Services is assisting an individual looking for IHSS staff. This position works directly for the client and IHSS. All IHSS support staff is hired for a specific set schedule. Opportunity to pick up additional hours on call. This position is part-time and about 26 hours per week.
IHSS Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate caregiving services to clients in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. May include intimate personal care assistance.
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs as needed.
- Create a safe and supportive environment for clients with developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Document care provided accurately and timely in electronic medical record systems.
- Some of the individuals we support use electric or manual wheelchairs, and receive assistance with adaptive equipment for transfer.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
Placerville IHSS staff must be certified through IHSS El Dorado County or be willing to become certified as part of the hiring process. Pay determined by IHSS ($17 per hour effective February 2025). Additional resources:
