Custom Cabinetry Designer

We are in search of a skilled, innovative, and motivated individual with a keen eye for detail to take on a full-time Designer position.

POSITION SUMMARY

The candidate for this position will be responsible for creating custom millwork/cabinetry designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Create custom millwork and cabinetry designs based on information provided (architectural drawings, inspiration images, client consultations, site visits).

· Prepare and present comprehensive design packages based on project requirements (sketches, 2D or 3D design drawings, design presentations)

· Record and track all project design information. Maintain an organized filing system of project data.

· Work directly with other team members to resolve any issues in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· 5 years of experience in residential high end custom cabinetry/millwork design. Knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, finishes, architectural millwork hardware.

· Proficiency in hand sketching as well as 2D/3D software (AutoCAD or similar) to design cabinetry and other relevant items.

· Reading construction plans and written specifications.

· Ability to take site measurements for design purposes is a plus

· MS Office knowledge.

· Ability to resolve issues, confidence and thoughtfulness.

· Attention to detail and creativity.

· Great verbal and written communication skills, work ethic and positive attitude.

· Ability to manage multiple projects.

· Ability to work as a team as well as independently.

· Ability to educate and guide clients throughout the design process from initial consultations, through design meetings and client presentations until design completion and approval.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
