What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Sales Manager position at New Suburban Roofing?
This position comes with a base pay range of $30-45,000 plus uncapped commissions
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for attaining area sales goals through training the sales process to new and existing sales staff. Promote the growth of New Suburban Roofing. Provide leadership to Sales Representative(s) in identifying process success and deficiencies in their sales pitch. Work with Founder to establish sales processes to produce “High Performance” sales reps. Support hiring and training new sales representatives with Founder to build a strong sales force to meet growth objectives. Contribute to the development of company training and education programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Direct responsibility of sales performance for market
- Sales Representatives and, in this case, the manager is responsible for acting as the main point of contact/project manager for all active projects
- Travel to job sites as needed to review the installation process and ensure your customer does not have any questions or concerns
- Ensure sales representatives have all necessary training and sales materials to be successful in their role
- This includes but is not limited to; sales process, “kill kits” pamphlets, etc.
- This individual will have the opportunity to assist in the creation of the program and supporting documentation
- Monitor performance of the sales team and provide real-time training and adjustments to achieve monthly/quarterly goals
- Conduct ride alongs with representatives to understand training and development needs
- Investigate lost sales opportunities and the competition in all active markets
- Attempt to save deals where it is apparent the sales process was not followed, or an opportunity exists
- Review all sold projects before they go to production to ensure margins are healthy and meeting company expectations
- Review sales performance with the Founder on a consistent basis
- Recruit, train, and onboard all new sales reps as the business requires
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
- Creation and implementation of effective lead generating services with support of Founder/VPO
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Consultative selling skills
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
- Staff and relationship building skills
- Ability to use standard office tools such as, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
- Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and bend frequently.
- Travel within radius of NSRM customer locations.
