Job Summary

Receive, sort, inspect, deliver and/or pick up mail, parcels and packages as required by site.

Job Duties

• Receive, sort, inspect, deliver and/or pick up mail, parcels, and packages as required by site.
• Process outbound mail.
• Capture, review and submit performance metrics and provide reports to supervision.
• Implement the Quality Control Plan.
• Coordinate, facilitate and/or provide training to Contractor staff onsite as directed by supervision.
• Ensure SOP’s are updated and implemented at each work site.
• Implement corrective measures as needed when issues/deviations from established performance standards are identified.
• Maintain logs and other pertinent documentation as required.
• Pull transaction summaries and furnish to the Mailroom Supervisor for required reports
• Inspect and clean government furnished equipment as required
• May serve as a backup to the Supervisor in the event of their absence.

Job Requirements

• Ability to read above a 6th grade level.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.* (this requirement may be waived for candidates who are legally blind.)

• Must be willing to submit for and successfully secure a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous experience in mailroom operations or similar.
• Ability to read and write in the English Language.
• Customer-focused with a service-oriented attitude.
• Detail-oriented, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Overall physical requirements of the job:

• Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
