What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Manager position at New Wave Design?
This position is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the organization’s information technology systems and equipment in accordance with organizational policies and goals. This position collaborates with various departments to align IT strategies with the organization’s business objectives and ensures that IT Systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. This position much have working understanding of CMMC, NIST, and ITAR compliant IT Systems.
Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability
Security Management:
- Implement and maintain security protocols/ measures to protect the organization’s data and IT systems from cyber threats and breaches, and achieve and maintain CMMC level 2 status
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate, select, and manage third-party vendors and service providers for IT-related projects and services
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals including IT System Administrator(s)
- Represent the company in a professional manner
IT Strategy:
- Develop and implement IT strategies and policies that align with the organization’s business objectives and growth plans
Budget Management:
- Create and manage the IT department’s budget ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization
Hardware and Software Procurement:
- Oversee the selection and procurement of hardware and software solutions ensuring the organization’s needs are met
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity
Compliance:
- Ensure that the organizations IT systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards
Troubleshooting:
- Address technical issues and provide support to end-users
- Resolve problems in a timely manner
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures
IT Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations
Training:
- Provide training and guidance to staff on the proper use of IT systems and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study
- 3 years of experience in IT management or similar role
- Strong business process analysis skills
- Strong knowledge and expertise in IT systems and infrastructure
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT security protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Parameters:
- Must be able to lift and carry 20 pounds.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds over the head
- Must have finger and wrist dexterity with repetitive motion

Salary Range:
$130,800.00-$183,500.00
