Job Summary:

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in all accounting processes. You will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable invoice and credit memo processing
• Process company credit card charges and reconcile charges to the statement
• Process cash disbursements and EFT payments weekly
• Maintain all documentation files relating to A/P functions
• Process annual 1099’s
• Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT
• Review and prepare invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data.
• Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contracting customers via telephone, email, and mail
• Perform cash management, including the recording of bank deposits, posting of cash to account receivable.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Familiarity with Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• 1-3 years of experience working with billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

Compensation:

$50,000-$55,000/annually
