Primary Purpose: Complete the wiring from the chassis to the body of the garbage truck for a finished product ready to be sent to customers.
General Description: Wire the cab of the chassis to the body of the truck to make all functions and controls properly work.
Essential Duties
General Description: Wire the cab of the chassis to the body of the truck to make all functions and controls properly work.
Essential Duties
- Route New Way wiring harness through the chassis into the cab.
- Integrate DOT chassis harness to New Way DOT harness.
- Install camera systems, scale systems, and radar systems.
- Install custom cab consoles with body switches.
- Inspect and test own work for function and appearance.
Other Duties
- Communicate effectively with other works to direct personal workflow.
- Read work orders and schematics.
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
- Meet and improve quality standards through troubleshooting techniques.
- Math skills including fractions and angles.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Understand and work with electrical wiring, specifically 12 Volt DC.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the Safety Department and Maintenance Department.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience: 1 year(s) preferred in Auto Mechanics.
