What are the responsibilities and job description for the Borough Administrator/Secretary position at New Wilmington Borough - New Wilmington, PA?
The New Wilmington Borough is searching for an Administrator/Secretary. This individual will work closely with the New Wilmington Borough Council. Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as liaison on behalf of council between local, state and federal agencies
- Implementing policies and ordinances established by Council
- Monitoring and reporting to Council all issues and concerns related to Borough commissions, boards, local organizations and residents
- Supervising day-to-day activities of the Administrative Department
- Working in collaboration with department heads
- Budget Preparations - Assisting the Finance Chair, Department Heads and Committee Chairs
- Meeting with auditors regarding financial transactions
- Overseeing preparations of Federal and State tax filings
- Submitting reports regarding financial and administrative issues, monitoring employee requirements for licenses and certifications
- Collaborating with the Borough Solicitor and Labor Attorney
- Monitoring service contracts, serving as purchasing officer
- Overseeing utility billing
- Completing grant applications
- Researching up-to-date information on current issues facing the Borough, its residents, and employees
- Strong interpersonal skills – Team player
- College degree preferred; Borough administration experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
