We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team and support our pediatric dental practice. This role is essential in creating a positive and stress-free environment for our young patients while ensuring smooth operations across our 5 practices in Brooklyn and Queens. We are looking for a patient-focused, detail-oriented individual who excels in working with children and collaborates effectively with a dental team to provide exceptional pediatric care.
Salary : $30,000-300,000
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, including cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, fillings, and extractions.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and organizing materials tailored for pediatric patients.
- Ensure a child-friendly environment by helping young patients feel comfortable and easing dental anxieties.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) with care and attention to young patients' comfort.
- Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene, diet, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documenting treatments and monitoring oral health progress.
- Support the application of space maintainers and other pediatric appliances as needed.
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Stay updated on best practices and techniques in pediatric dentistry through continuing education.
