Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and personable individual to serve as a Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant. This dual role offers the opportunity to interact directly with patients while supporting the practice's administrative and clinical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Medical Receptionist:
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Schedule appointments, confirm reminders, and handle rescheduling requests.
- Verify insurance information and process necessary paperwork.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate departments.
As a Medical Assistant:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care tasks, including rooming patients, recording vital signs, and updating medical histories.
- Assist provider(s) during procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for procedures.
- Assist with minor clinical tasks, such as EKGs or specimen collection, if trained.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed.
- Provide support with patient follow-ups and record management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience as a receptionist or medical assistant in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in medical office software (e.g., EMR systems).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Work Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:45 AM to 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:45 AM to 2:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:45 AM to 1:00 PM
