The New York Philharmonic seeks an Assistant Director, Prospect Management. This position is a member of the Research Team and is primarily responsible for portfolio and moves management, creative prospecting, strategic research, and efficiency optimization.
Responsibilities
A minimum of five years’ experience in Prospect Research, Prospect Management, or related field. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to produce under deadlines and work independently and efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Tessitura or similar CRM database.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Major Gifts Team to provide recommendations on solicitation strategies and conduct portfolio reviews.
- Maintain and evolve the Moves Management system in Tessitura and help report metrics to maximize cultivation efforts.
- Develop new methods and utilize technology to analyze data for effective prospecting.
- Evaluate procedures to ensure Research Team is working efficiently and effectively.
- Work with the frontline and corporate teams to highlight and research prospects for multiple season focal points.
- Review concerts and incoming gifts for the best prospects and standardize distribution of prospects to Development Staff.
- Regularly review wealth screen data of new donors and ticket buyers to optimize results.
- Interface regularly with Special Events team for events prospecting and research (supervising execution by Research team).
- Prepare research for the President & CEO, Executive Staff, SVP of Philanthropy, and Board of Directors members as needed.
- Conduct in-depth profiles on current and prospective donors when necessary.
- Supervise research staff (Research Associate and Research Manager) to ensure the team delivers timely and accurate projects.
- Participate in Development events and projects, as needed (e.g. Galas).
- Participate in Patron Lounge duty during the concert season to assist with guest tracking and ensure positive guest experience.
- Commitment to contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned, which may include occasional night and weekend work.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
