Job Description
The Strategic Planning Analyst supports strategic planning and business development efforts for the Strategic Planning Department through research, design and production of data analyses, preparation of reports and presentations, and maintenance of data and information. This position provides technical and analytic support for the Strategic Planning Department to assist the Organization in achieving its strategic goals, responding proactively to market opportunities, and complying with regulatory requirements, such as the Certificate of Need process. The Strategic Planning Analyst requires strong qualitative and quantitative skills including statistics, use of analytical tools and planning databases, knowledge of health care planning and marketing, finance and operational data, as well as strong computer skills. This position requires the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into actionable information to inform decision-making.
The Strategic Planning Analyst is involved in many areas of the Organization and is responsible for working with Service Line Directors, Department Managers, physicians, and other staff to determine and respond to their information needs. Incumbent works independently, but with some direct supervision from the Director of Strategy, and must be able to multi-task and prioritize their assignments to meet the Strategic Planning Department and Organizational-wide needs.
