Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : As a member of NYSIF’s Application Development Team, incumbents of these positions will play a key role in developing software to meet the essential business needs of the agency. As a member of a full stack development team, incumbents will assist in the design and creation of both front and back-end software development. Duties include but are not limited to :
- Scanning code and resolving vulnerabilities
- Creating and using Azure CI / CD pipelines
- Production support
- API Development
- Assisting with building / updating web applications or batch processes
- Design, Develop or update database objects and create SQL statements.The candidate should have a basic understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Software Development Life Cycle, Project management Life Cycle, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Studio, basic testing concepts.#li-dni
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State.Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program) or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program.Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent.Must be able to work at least part-time summer (10-15 hours per week, with the opportunity to work fall and spring depending on availability); full-time summer hours preferred.Preferred Qualifications :Preferred Major(s) : Computer Science, Computer Programming and Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer and Information Technology, Software EngineeringAdditional Comments Please note, the hourly pay rate displayed includes location pay and / or geographic pay.
